Embedded travel API for fintechs, banks and super-apps
An embedded travel API lets a non-travel platform — a bank, wallet, marketplace or super-app — sell flights, hotels and trip extras inside its own app without becoming a travel company. Tripgic supplies GDS, NDC and low-cost flights, 2M+ hotels, tours, transfers and eSIM through one REST API and one JSON schema, while you keep the customer and the checkout.
You already own the customer, the payment and the app. Tripgic adds the travel inventory, booking and ticketing behind it — one contract instead of a supplier agreement per airline and bedbank.

Who embeds travel
Banks and card issuers
Turn card spend and rewards into hotel and flight bookings inside the banking app.
Wallets and fintechs
Add a travel tab next to payments, with the cashback or rewards your users already know.
Marketplaces and e-commerce
List flights, stays and experiences beside physical goods and grow average order value.
Super-apps
Offer trips alongside rides, food and bills, all on one account and one checkout.
Telcos
Start with travel eSIM, then add flights and hotels for roaming customers.
Spend and HR platforms
Let employees book work trips inside the tool that already holds the budget and approvals.
Fintechs are already doing it
Revolut launched Stays in July 2021, letting users book accommodation inside its app with up to 10% cashback — its first product outside finance, with flights and car hire planned later (CNBC). The pattern is the same for any platform with engaged users: travel is a high-value, high-frequency purchase that fits naturally beside payments and rewards.
The hard part is supply. Each airline, GDS and bedbank has its own contract, certification and data format. An embedded travel API puts them behind one integration so your team builds one booking flow.

A practical rollout: start small, then widen
- 1
Start with one product
Hotels or travel eSIM are simple first launches: one search, one price check, one booking, one voucher.
- 2
Add flights
Switch on GDS, NDC and low-cost flights through the same schema once the first flow is live.
- 3
Cross-sell extras
Offer transfers, tours, lounges and eSIM on the confirmation screen to lift order value.
- 4
Scale the plan
Move to a higher plan when volume grows and pay only the difference in activation charge; your integration stays intact.
How the money flows
You collect payment from your customer through your own checkout. Tripgic is paid from a prepaid wallet that you top up by bank transfer, and each booking debits the supplier net price plus a flat markup — USD 5, 3 or 2 per flight passenger and USD 3 or 2 per hotel night, depending on plan. There is no monthly subscription and no percentage commission, so your margin on every booking is the gap between your selling price and a cost you know in advance.
Plan activation is a one-time charge by card or bank transfer. Full plan details and post-ticketing fees are on the pricing page.
Security and compliance

What is an embedded travel API?
An embedded travel API lets a platform whose main business is not travel — a bank, wallet, marketplace or super-app — offer flights, hotels and trip extras inside its own app. The API supplies inventory, booking and ticketing; the platform keeps the customer, the brand and the checkout.
Do we need an IATA licence or GDS contract to embed travel?
No GDS contract or certification is needed: supplier connectivity runs through Tripgic. You sign one agreement with Tripgic and connect to one REST API.
Can we use our own payment flow?
Yes. You charge your customer through your own checkout — card, wallet, buy-now-pay-later or points — and Tripgic is paid from your prepaid wallet, topped up by bank transfer.
Which travel products can we embed?
Flights from 700+ airlines (GDS, NDC and 67 low-cost carriers), 2M+ hotels, tours and activities, tour packages, airport transfers and travel eSIM. Car rental, airport lounges, fast track, meet and greet and sports tickets are available on the Enterprise plan.
How do we make money on embedded travel?
Each booking costs the supplier net price plus Tripgic's flat markup. You set the selling price on top, so your margin is the difference. There is no subscription and no percentage commission.
How long does an embedded travel integration take?
Sandbox credentials are free after a short kick-off call. Because every product shares one normalized JSON schema, most teams launch one product first and go from sandbox to production in days.
