Sports & Events Ticketing API
Sell tickets to football, Formula 1, MotoGP, tennis, cricket and 18 more sports — with the flights, hotels and transfers to get there — through one normalized API.
What is the Tripgic Events API?
The Tripgic Events API lets travel platforms search, price and book tickets for live sports events through the same normalized JSON API used for flights and hotels. Each event returns its venue, local start time, seat categories, remaining availability and a price per category, so tickets can be sold on their own or as part of a trip.
23 sports, six groups
The same catalogue agents browse in the Tripgic B2B portal. Inventory depth changes with the season; every search returns only events you can book right now.

How an event booking works
From search to delivered tickets in four steps, using the same envelope and credentials as every other Tripgic product.
-
Step 1
Search events
Filter by sport, city, venue or date range. Each result carries the venue, local start time and the seat categories on sale.
-
Step 2
Choose a seat category
Grandstand, general admission or hospitality — each category returns its remaining count, price and delivery method.
-
Step 3
Book the seats
Create the booking with the lead traveller’s details. Availability is checked again before the booking is confirmed.
-
Step 4
Deliver the tickets
E-tickets, mobile transfers or collection details arrive with the confirmation and stay linked to the same
tracking_id.
Sell the whole trip, not just the ticket
A fan travelling to a race weekend needs a flight, a hotel near the circuit and a way to get there. Ticket resellers stop at the seat. Tripgic returns every piece from the same API, so the trip is priced, booked and supported as one order.
Example: Dhaka to Singapore for the Grand Prix — return flight, three nights near Marina Bay, an airport transfer, fast track on arrival and a local eSIM, alongside the grandstand seats.

Events API compared with sourcing tickets by hand
| Criterion | Tripgic Events API | Manual sourcing |
|---|---|---|
| Inventory access | 23 sports through one API | A separate account per reseller, venue or promoter |
| Pricing | Price per seat category in the search response | Quotes by email that can change before you confirm |
| Availability | Remaining count per category, re-checked at booking | Manual checks with a real risk of overselling |
| Trip bundling | Flight, hotel, transfer, visa and eSIM in the same flow | Booked separately and reconciled by hand |
| Integration | Same normalized JSON and credentials as every Tripgic API | A new integration for every supplier |
| Support | One support desk, one tracking_id per booking | A different contact for every supplier |

Frequently asked questions
Which sports does the Tripgic Events API cover?
The catalogue spans 23 sports in six groups: motorsport (Formula 1, MotoGP, Superbike, DTM), football and team sports (football, rugby, cricket, handball), US leagues and arena sports (NFL, NBA, MLB, basketball, ice hockey), racquet and precision sports (tennis, padel, golf, darts), combat sports, and endurance racing (horse racing, cycling, rowing). Inventory depth varies by sport and season, and every search returns only events that are currently bookable.
Can event tickets be sold together with flights and hotels?
Yes. Events are returned through the same normalized JSON schema and authentication as flights, hotels, transfers, visas and eSIMs, so a race weekend or away match can be sold as one trip instead of separate bookings.
How is seat availability shown?
Each event returns its seat categories with the remaining count and a price per category at search time. Availability is checked again when the booking is made, so a category that sells out in the meantime is not confirmed.
How are event tickets delivered?
The delivery method is returned per seat category, for example e-ticket, mobile ticket transfer or collection, so you can show it before the customer pays. Delivery details are included with the booking confirmation.
Is Tripgic affiliated with the leagues, teams or organisers listed?
No. Sport, league and competition names on this page describe the events available through Tripgic's ticketing suppliers. Tripgic is not affiliated with or endorsed by any league, team, venue or rights holder.
Which Tripgic plan includes the Events API?
Events is part of the ancillary bundle on every plan, including the Essential tier for platforms that sell ancillaries without flight or hotel booking. See the pricing page for plan details and the per-booking markup.
