What is the API Activation Charge?
The API Activation Charge is a one-time onboarding fee that covers your account setup, supplier credential provisioning, sandbox environment, technical integration support, and first-month API access. It is not a recurring subscription — you pay once to get started.
Are there ongoing monthly fees after activation?
After the one-time activation, Tripgic operates on a revenue-share or per-transaction model depending on your plan and booking volume. There is no flat monthly subscription fee. Contact sales for the exact commercial structure suited to your business.
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes. You can upgrade from Starter to Growth or Enterprise at any time. You only pay the difference in the activation charge, and your integration stays intact — no re-integration needed.
How does Tripgic mark up fares?
Tripgic returns net fares from suppliers and adds a single fixed markup per transaction — a flat amount between USD 2 and USD 10, never a percentage. The exact figure depends on the product and your plan tier (flights, for example, are USD 10 per passenger on Starter and USD 5 on Enterprise). The same rule is applied consistently across every search result, price check, and booking.
What services are restricted on the Starter plan?
The Starter plan includes Flight API access only via LCC networks. GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport), NDC connections, Hotel, Car Rental, Activities, and Dynamic Packages APIs are not included. You can add them by upgrading to Growth or Enterprise.
What does the Essential plan include?
The Essential plan is a $500 entry tier for platforms that sell travel ancillaries without flight or hotel booking. It includes the Car Rental API, Activities & Tours API, airport services (lounge, fast-track, meet & greet), and eSIM connectivity, plus sandbox and live environments and a 2500:1 look-to-book ratio. Flight and Hotel APIs are not included.
Is there a free sandbox to test before activation?
Yes. After booking a demo session with our integration team, you receive sandbox credentials at no charge. You only pay the activation fee when you are ready to go live.
How long does activation take?
Most clients complete the activation process within 3–5 business days. Enterprise activations with custom GDS configurations may take up to 10 business days.
Is the activation charge refundable?
The activation charge is non-refundable once API credentials and supplier configurations are provisioned. We strongly recommend using the free sandbox environment to validate your integration before activation. See our Terms of Service for full details.
